RAND Business Leaders Forum

RAND Business Leaders Forum

Since 1997, the RAND Corporation has convened a select group of executives and policymakers for a confidential dialogue on the broad array of strategic issues facing the United States, Europe, and Russia. The RAND Business Leaders Forum attracts distinguished figures from around the globe with the experience, perspective, and expertise to tackle some of the world’s most pressing and difficult problems.

Focus of the RAND Business Leaders Forum

Held out of the spotlight, the RAND Business Leaders Forum fosters candid, off-the-record exchanges on vital topics ranging from finance and economics to foreign policy and emerging global security challenges and threats. Over the course of a day and a half, the RAND Forum members channel their energies into a series of direct dialogues with top policymakers and small-format discussions with preeminent experts.

The RAND Forum meets twice annually. Autumn meetings are held in New York, and the spring meetings are held in Moscow.

Leadership

The RAND Forum’s Executive Director is Andrew Weiss, who combines his duties with leadership of the RAND Center for Russia and Eurasia. The RAND Business Leaders Forum was launched in 1997 by the late Jeremy R. Azrael, a long-time RAND political scientist and expert on the Russian economy.
