Nermine Anis
Overview
Biography
Anis is a bilingual project management consultant, fluent in both English and Arabic, at the RAND-Qatar Policy Institute (RQPI) in Doha. Anis is engaged in the Supreme Council for Family Affairs project, analyzing the eight institutes working on issues such as child and woman protection, children with special needs, and social rehabilitation. Anis coordinated and participated in the Pardee RAND Graduate School's Public Policy Seminar, served on the Clinical Services Project team, and helped design a RAND Speakers Series. Prior to joining RQPI, Anis was a project manager at the Office of Her Highness Sheikha Mozah Bint Nasser Al Missned for five years; upon its inception, she led the office's initial structuring effort. Anis worked with Her Highness in handling the health and education reform files and a variety of other projects. During her tenure, Anis was a liaison for the RQPI, engaged in the design of various RAND initiatives, including projects on evaluating Qatar foreign aid assistance, designing and implementing Supreme Education Council strategy, and regional analysis of health care services for the Gulf Cooperation Council. Anis began consulting in 2007 for Qatar Science and Technology Park, National Health Authority, and Vodafone Qatar, as well as managing projects in Family Affairs, Health and major corporate events. Prior to moving to Qatar, Anis held several roles in the for-profit sector, the last of which was as general manager of J.C. Penney's Egypt with an annual export budget of 24 million dollars.
