Biography
Monica Banken is outreach programs coordinator at the RAND Corporation. In this capacity, Banken is responsible for the coordination and promotion of public programs at RAND's headquarters campus in Santa Monica that highlight RAND researchers and findings. Prior to this, she worked for the Orange County Board of Supervisors as deputy chief of staff. She also worked for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce as manager of congressional and public affairs for the western United States and served members of the California State Legislature, developing and directing legislation. Banken received her M.P.P.A. from California Lutheran University.
