Manel Baucells

Biography
Manel Baucells is a senior economist at RAND. Previously, he was a professor in the Department of Economics and Business of Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona. His research focuses on economic behavior, decision-making and prescriptive models of bounded rationality. He is interested in incorporating key psychological factors into economic models. These factors include satiation and habit formation, non-linear perception of time distance, and reference point effects. Baucells has a Ph.D. in management from the Anderson School at UCLA.
