Biography

Leandro Carvalho in an associate economist whose research interests include topics in development, labor, and health economics. He is also a professor at the Pardee RAND Graduate School. Carvalho has studied the time preferences of poor families; gender discrimination in India; the importance of early childhood circumstances for the intergenerational transmission of socioeconomic status, and how credit constraints determine the skill-composition of immigrants.
