Alexandria Felton
Overview
Biography
Alexandria Felton is a project associate at the RAND Corporation. She has extensive experience in research communications, community engagement, and public health preparedness. Her recent work includes coordinating research efforts and conducting interviews for a study examining the role of religious congregations in health and HIV/AIDS prevention. Felton has also collaborated with a team to design and co-write a training manual that can be used by organizations that want to work with congregations to reduce HIV stigma and promote testing. Her other community engagement work includes convening a series of meetings with key community stakeholders from the US Department of Health and Human Service's 10 disaster planning regions to elicit feedback on the National Health Security Strategy and its feasibility. Felton has managed a number of efforts to develop web-based tools that support public health planning, including the creation of a web-based health literacy mapping tool that will enhance disparities and quality improvement research efforts. Prior to joining RAND, she worked as a public relations and marketing expert for information technology, energy, and financial services firms. Felton earned her M.P.H. from the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University.
