Biography

Tyler Haugseth is a Ph.D. candidate at the Pardee RAND Graduate School and an assistant policy analyst at RAND. Haugseth is also a 2010 distinguished graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy with a B.S. in biochemistry and a minor in Japanese. His research focuses at the Academy involved energy issues with biofuels and hydrogen storage technologies. Haugseth was a Cadet EMT with over 250 hours of volunteer time providing first responder care to cadets and visiting civilians. He has spent 18 days during one summer in Israel touring its military facilities and forming relations with Israeli junior officers. He also visited Japan twice studying Japanese culture as well as visiting Yokota Air Base. At PRGS, he is focusing on Department of Defense energy policy and renewable energy initiatives.
