Saba Hinrichs

Biography
Saba Hinrichs is an analyst at RAND Europe. She has an engineering background and completed her Ph.D. in engineering design at the University of Cambridge, focussing on medical device evaluation and acquisition in hospitals. Prior to joining RAND, she worked on the Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care (CLAHRC) project on mental health service design. She had previously worked for the medical device industry in the UK, and continues her involvement in equipment donation and management in the charity sector.
Hinrichs's interest and expertise is in the use of systems engineering principles for research, policy design, and delivery of healthcare services. Her work includes the use of interviews, focus groups, workshops, and case studies for gathering primary data in healthcare settings, combined with diagrammatic methods and process engineering.
