Chong Woo Kim
Overview
Biography
Chong Woo Kim is an analyst at RAND Europe, working primarily with the Choice Modelling and Valuation team. His main research areas are in discrete choice modelling and stated preference research. He has contributed to the development of models from stated preference surveys in the transport, communications, health and utilities sectors. He is also a highly experienced programmer.
Prior to joining RAND, he worked as Java Application Developer for an IT company based in Cambridgeshire, England. He then moved to Samsung Semiconductors' R&D centre in Kiheung, South Korea, as senior TCAD (Technology Computer Aided Design) engineer, where he specialized in enhancing the performance of DRAM memory chips. Kim has a Ph.D. in mathematical physics from Imperial College of Science, Technology, and Medicine.
