Eduardo Marquez Pena is a Ph.D. candidate at the Pardee RAND Graduate School and an assistant policy analyst at RAND. He holds a B.A. in economics and a master's degree in economic theory from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México. He worked in the Mexican Ministry of Finance as a Manager of Promotion and Sales of Industrial Businesses for four years, where he conducted market analyses for the sale of several public companies and on-going businesses. Prior to joining RAND, Marquez Pena was an associate at Ibkan Consultants, an investment banking boutique in Mexico City, where he developed economic analysis for Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM) valuation models in different industries such as manufacturing, retail and pharmaceuticals. His interests include fiscal and monetary policies, income redistribution, and banking and financial services.
