Biography
Martorell joined RAND as an Associate Economist in 2005. He specializes in labor economics and the economics of education. His RAND projects include a study of Qatar's higher education system and a project looking at the effect of military activation on the economic wellbeing of reservists. He is also working on projects that examine the impact of high school exit exams, the intergenerational schooling relationship, the effect of college remediation, and the efficiency of spending on schools.
