Biography
Ian McEwan is RAND Europe's financial and commercial director. He started his career as an accountant with Unilever, where he spent ten years in their speciality chemical and detergents businesses. For the past ten years he has led finance and administration teams within a number of technology and venture capitalist–backed businesses—most recently with ProQuest, an online publisher of Academic Databases, and Zinwave, a telecommunications infrastructure business. McEwan has lived in the Netherlands and Japan and has extensive experience in growing businesses internationally.
McEwan is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and holds a Ph.D. in engineering from the University of Liverpool.
