Nardulli is a senior political scientist with more than 20 years of experience at RAND. He became the director of RQPI in July 2009, where he is responsible for overseeing all operations and staff of the Doha-based office. RQPI serves clients in Qatar and throughout North Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia. Prior to joining the RQPI office, Nardulli led a study for the Qatari Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces on alternative security strategies and force structures for the Qatari Armed Forces. Before his RQPI assignment, Nardulli led defense and security projects for the RAND Arroyo Center, RAND Project AIR FORCE, and the RAND National Security Research Division. He did two stints as the liaison between the Department of the Army and the RAND Arroyo Center. He also served as a visiting professor at the U.S. Naval War College, where he taught courses on defense planning and management to both U.S. and international officers.
