Overview

Biography

Guy Weichenberg is an Information Scientist at the RAND Corporation. He brings engineering expertise and perspective to a variety of national security policy issues. His recent studies have ranged from a congressionally mandated study on shutdown/restart options for the F-22 (the most advanced fighter jet in the world); to assisting the Army with a system of systems approach to procuring its portfolio of interdependent weapon systems; to understanding the impact of technical and organizational complexity on avionics and software development cost growth.

Guy received both the Ph.D. and S.M. in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from MIT, where he continues his association as a Research Affiliate. His work at MIT has focused on communications and networks for defense and commercial applications. Previously, Guy obtained the B.A.Sc. in Engineering Science from the University of Toronto. Guy's experience includes working with/at a variety of private and government organizations, including Bell Labs, HP Labs, NTT, DARPA, and NSF.
