Biography

Julie M. Zissimopoulos is a senior economist at the RAND Corporation and professor of economics at the Pardee RAND Graduate School. She also directs the RAND Postdoctoral Training Program in the Study of Aging, which is sponsored by the National Institutes of Health. Her research focuses on life-cycle behavior with regards to earnings, wealth, and marriage, and topics related to the economics of aging, including health and socioeconomic status, labor force behavior, and family transfers. Zissimopoulos received her Ph.D. in economics from the University of California, Los Angeles.
