RAND Corporation Receives Good Government Award from the League of Women Voters of Greater Pittsburgh
November 2010
The RAND Corporation's Pittsburgh office has been selected as a 2010 recipient of the Good Government Award from the League of Women Voters of Greater Pittsburgh. The League is a nonpartisan organization that encourages citizen participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
RAND was one of four awardees this year, among Charles J. Queenan Jr., a former partner and chair of the management committee at K & L Gates; Bill Isler, CEO of Family Communications Inc., member of the board of the Pittsburgh Public Schools, and member of the advisory board of RAND's Promising Practices Network; and the Women's Law Project, which works to create a more just and equitable society by advocating the rights and status of all women throughout their lives. The awards were presented at an event to celebrate civil leadership on November 4, 2010.
