Arts and Public Safety Impact Study
Tora Bikson

The long-term goal of the work is to demonstrate the positive impact of arts intervention programs on the prosocial development of at-risk youth, using a rigorous field-experimental research design with multiple intervention sites and longitudinal quantitative outcome assessments. Toward that goal, the present task is to design and conduct a field pilot project of limited duration in a single site that will yield the information and experience necessary for planning and carrying out a successful large-scale field experiment.

(Completed December 1996)
