Sirat Attapit
Sirat Attapit is the Legislative Analyst at the RAND Corporation for RAND energy and environment; transportation; labor and population; and arts issues. Prior to coming to RAND in July 2007, she worked on education, national service, children's issues and Labor-HHS-Education appropriations for Senator Richard J. Durbin (D-IL), the Assistant Majority Leader of the United States Senate. While working for Senator Durbin, she performed legislative, policy, outreach, and constituent liaison duties. Ms. Attapit began her career as an attorney in private practice in Illinois and has served as Assistant Counsel to the Speaker of the Illinois House of Representatives.
Ms. Attapit received her B.S. with a double major in Psychology and Political Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, an MBA from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law.
