About the Consortium
The Financial Literacy Research Consortium consists of three research centers: one is a joint center of the RAND Corporation, Dartmouth College, and the Wharton School; another is at Boston College; and a third is at the University of Wisconsin. Established in September 2009 and supported by the Social Security Administration through five-year cooperative agreements, the Consortium is developing innovative materials and programs to help Americans at all stages of life plan for a secure retirement.
The Financial Literacy Center, one of the centers of the Consortium led by the RAND Corporation, Dartmouth College, and the Wharton School, is organizing the conference. Our mission is to develop and test innovative programs to improve financial literacy and promote informed financial decisionmaking.
