Donor Spotlight

Peter Norton“I am pleased to support RAND's growth in creativity. Solving complex problems requires an open mind as much as a disciplined one, and often involves a ‘eureka' moment. RAND provides the environment for just that kind of breakthrough thinking.

”Philanthropic contributions enable RAND to continue to be on the cutting edge, and I am pleased to have helped. In the 26 years I have been associated with RAND people, they have always been open to new ideas, different approaches, and unique perspectives. I applaud RAND for its consistently objective analysis in reaching effective solutions.”

— Peter Norton

Peter Norton is best known for founding the computer-protection software that bears his name. He now describes himself as a gentleman philanthropist, heading his own foundation and serving on various public service boards, among them the three museums — LACMA in Los Angeles, MoMA and the Whitney in New York — and three colleges — CalArts in Valencia, CalTech in Pasadena, and Reed in Portland Oregon.

Generous contributions from donors such as Peter Norton enable RAND to fund groundbreaking research in the public interest. Help make a difference; donate today.
