Evaluating Mechanisms of Change in Smoking Intervention

A study exploring how the RAND-developed Project CHOICE (a voluntary after-school smoking-prevention program for middle school students) affects tobacco use, including whether there are differences among gender and racial/ethnic groups.

Health Care Quality and Outcomes in Medicare

A study to determine the extent to which differences in the technical and interpersonal quality of care provided to Medicare beneficiaries account for differences in health outcomes, controlling for age, gender, insurance type (HMO versus FFS), socioeconomic status, and functional status.
