Jim Thomson and Premier Wen Jiabao
On March 22–23, Jim Thomson attended the China Development Forum, an annual invitation-only gathering in Beijing of global leaders in business, government, and academia. The theme of this year's forum, sponsored by the Development Research Center of the State Council and organized by the China Development Research Foundation, was "China and the World Economy: Growth, Restructuring, and Cooperation."
Thomson also had private meetings with Premier Wen Jiabao and the president of the Development Research Center, Zhang Yutai, who expressed an interest in working with RAND in the future.
