ISE Advisory Board

The Advisory Board guides and supports RAND Infrastructure, Safety and Environment (ISE) in its mission of conducting research to improve the development, management and protection of society's essential built and natural assets, and its related social assets of safety and security.

The Advisory Board's principal objective is to help strengthen ISE by attracting interest in and support for ISE programs and initiatives. To this end, the Advisory Board:

  • commits to contributing financial support and to assist in raising funds necessary to sustain independent and pioneering research;
  • provides direction, advice, and counsel to ensure that the unit's program broadly and significantly influences policy and practice;
  • increases public awareness of ISE research by disseminating findings to a wide spectrum of government agencies, research organizations, businesses, citizens groups, community-based enterprises, philanthropic entities and individuals, and the public-at-large;

The Advisory Board includes individuals from the public and private sectors with demonstrated leadership, personal distinction, practical experience, a commitment to excellence in policy analysis, and a desire to transcend partisan conflicts and political ideologies.
