Center on Quality Policing
The RAND Center on Quality Policing (CQP) provides research and analysis on contemporary police practice and policy. By determining what practices are most cost-effective and results-oriented, the Center’s work helps law enforcement agencies across the United States make better operational decisions and consistently perform at their best.
Drug Policy Research Center
For over ten years, RAND DPRC has conducted research that helps community leaders and public officials develop more effective ways of dealing with drug problems. In doing so, the DPRC brings an objective, pragmatic perspective on this often emotional and fractious policy arena. The Center's goal is to provice a firm, empirical foundation on which sound policies can be built.
Israel Public Policy Research at RAND
The RAND Corporation has completed its first major project in Israel—a donor-funded study providing recommendations on the role of natural gas in Israel's energy future. In the project, RAND evaluated strategies for using natural gas and addressed some of the larger questions related to managing risk, timing of investments in infrastructure, and diversifying Israel's future energy portfolio. Officials in Israel have asked RAND to conduct additional work. Future project costs will be provided in part by the government; remaining funds will be provided by philanthropic contributions to the Israel Public Policy Fund at RAND.
Supply Chain Policy Center
The RAND Supply Chain Policy Center (SCPC) helps the public and private sectors address critical issues in freight transportation to the U.S., North American, and international economies. The SCPC is member-funded and derives its strength from RAND Corporation's nearly 60 years of experience addressing policy issues of global importance through objective analysis in collaboration with industry partners who are leaders in international freight transportation, manufacturing, and retail.
The Center for Terrorism Risk Management Policy site was archived on November 16, 2009 because the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act was renewed. The Center provided research on economic security in the face of the terrorism threat, including terrorism risk insurance, terrorism liability, compensation, security, and terrorism risk management.
