Center on Quality Policing

The RAND Center on Quality Policing (CQP) provides research and analysis on contemporary police practice and policy. By determining what practices are most cost-effective and results-oriented, the Center’s work helps law enforcement agencies across the United States make better operational decisions and consistently perform at their best.

Criminal Justice Center

The RAND Criminal Justice Center conducts evaluations of specific sentencing and corrections policy — drug courts, reentry services, and supervision for drug users leaving prison —— and violence prevention programs. RAND researchers continue to build on years of work with intensive-supervision probation, alternatives to incarceration, and corrections policy and cost-effectiveness work in violence prevention.

Drug Policy Research Center

For over ten years, RAND DPRC has conducted research that helps community leaders and public officials develop more effective ways of dealing with drug problems. In doing so, the DPRC brings an objective, pragmatic perspective on this often emotional and fractious policy arena. The Center's goal is to provice a firm, empirical foundation on which sound policies can be built.

Supply Chain Policy Center

The RAND Supply Chain Policy Center (SCPC) helps the public and private sectors address critical issues in freight transportation to the U.S., North American, and international economies. The SCPC is member-funded and derives its strength from RAND Corporation's nearly 60 years of experience addressing policy issues of global importance through objective analysis in collaboration with industry partners who are leaders in international freight transportation, manufacturing, and retail.

The Center for Terrorism Risk Management Policy site was archived on November 16, 2009 because the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act was renewed. The Center provided research on economic security in the face of the terrorism threat, including terrorism risk insurance, terrorism liability, compensation, security, and terrorism risk management.
