News and Events
RAND BeFi Forum: June 1, 2012, in Washington, D.C.
This roundtable event aims to highlight academic research and tools of general relevance to both government and industry, and to stimulate debate about how behavioral finance informs these three stakeholders' interactions with one another.
Keynote speakers include:
- Michael Barr (University of Michigan, formerly the Department of the Treasury's Assistant Secretary for Financial Institutions, and a key architect of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act)
- Dan Ariely (Duke University, author of the forthcoming book, The Honest Truth About Dishonesty: How We Lie to Everyone — Especially Ourselves)
This day-long event includes a series of topical panels based on curated presentations of academic research discussed by practitioners, as well as special advance copies of Professor Ariely's book.
Though there is no cost to attend this event in the Capitol Building, space is limited. Please fill out the registration form if you are interested in attending and we will reply with instructions and your confirmation. If you are interested in sponsoring the event, please download and submit the Sponsor Form.
