This roundtable event highlighted academic research and tools of general relevance to both government and industry, and stimulated debate about how behavioral finance informs these three stakeholders' interactions with one another.
Keynote speakers included:
- Michael Barr (University of Michigan, formerly the Department of the Treasury's Assistant Secretary for Financial Institutions, and a key architect of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act)
- Dan Ariely (Duke University, author of the forthcoming book, The Honest Truth About Dishonesty: How We Lie to Everyone — Especially Ourselves)
This day-long event included a series of topical panels based on curated presentations of academic research discussed by practitioners, as well as special advance copies of Professor Ariely's book.
