Computing and Data Core

The Computing and Data Core led by Jacob Klerman aims to improve the research environment and the quality and cost-effectiveness of the demographic research done at RAND by providing the following services:

  1. Common hardware and software for RAND’s demographic research community
  2. Demographic-research-specific computing support, augmenting RAND-wide support for general computing issues and project-specific activities
  3. Internal and external support or earlier RAND primary data collection efforts
  4. Acquisition of common data files

The proposed efforts build on and extend previous activities at RAND and respond to the foci of ongoing research in the PRC and the contributions that PRC staff can make to the broader demographic research community.
