Organization and Staff
The Center is is led by Michael Rendall, Director. It is housed in RAND Labor and Population. The Center has helped RAND attract and retain a community of population scholars, including junior researchers of exceptional promise and senior researchers with national and international reputations in their fields. Many staff members serve on national advisory councils, including the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Their work appears in journals such as the American Economic Review, American Journal of Epidemiology, American Journal of Sociology, Demography, Econometrica, Journal of Human Resources, Journal of Labor Economics, Journal of Political Economy, and Review of Economics and Statistics.
The Center's research efforts are coordinated and supported by an Administrative Core, Data Management and Computing Core, and a Seed Grants Program.
