Providing non-partisan, state-of-the-art research and analysis on social welfare policy

The Center for the Study of Welfare Policy, a RAND Labor and Population program, aims to provide non-partisan, state-of-the-art research and analysis on social welfare policy, including welfare reform, while functioning as a public resource for citizens, policymakers, and scholars. The Center includes more than a dozen projects designed to advance our understanding of the operations of welfare programs, the key issues in refining or changing those programs, and the likely effects of such changes.
