RAND Experts at J Street Conference and Available to Speak on Israeli-Palestinian Issues

RAND Senior Economist Ross Anthony and urban designer Doug Suisman will be speaking today from 3:30 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. at the J Street Conference at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, 1000 H Street N.W. in Washington, D.C on “Palestinian Economic Development: Path to Peace or Diversion?”

Specifically, the pair will discuss the RAND studies, "Building a Successful Palestinian State" and its companion volume, "The Arc: A Formal Structure for a Palestinian State", which proposes a new corridor from the northern West Bank to Gaza that would ultimately generate housing, jobs and business development.

RAND also has other experts available to speak on Israeli-Palestinian relations and their effect on the Middle East more broadly:

David Aaron is the Director of the RAND Center for Middle East Public Policy and former Deputy National Security Advisor to President Jimmy Carter whose research focuses on terrorism and counterterrorism, international economic policy and jihadism.

Dalia Dassa Kaye is Associate Director of the Center for Middle East Public Policy and specializes in the Arab-Israeli conflict and peace process, as well as Middle East policy and security issues.

Audra Grant is a Political Scientist who researches Middle East politics and issues related to governance and reform, and the dynamics of political Islam, U.S. foreign policy and Muslim public opinion.
