Background:

Has covered a wide range of topics including health policy, international economics, economic subjects related to national security, and the economics of the performing arts. Prior to RAND, served as the senior advisor to the Director of Central Intelligence on economic matters. Has also worked in the National Security and International Affairs Division of the Congressional Budget Office and as a senior international economist at the First National Bank of Chicago.
