Background
Hans Pung leads RAND Europe's research in defence and security. Before joining RAND Europe, he served as an engineer officer in the United States Army and was assigned to South Korea, Germany, and multiple postings in the U.S. While at RAND Europe, he has worked on a variety of defence procurement projects for the UK Ministry of Defence. A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, Hans also holds an M.Sc. in Mathematical Modelling and Numerical Analysis and an M.St. in British History from Oxford University.
