Advisory Board

The RAND Center for Terrorism Risk Management Policy designs and conducts its research with assistance from a distinguished Advisory Committee that reflects a broad range of interests and expertise. The Committee consists of 10-15 representatives from commercial real estate owners, insurance, reinsurance, commercial lenders, and selected civil justice leaders (e.g., judges). Other industries concerned with the terror threat, such as railroads and chemicals, will also be consulted and may join the Committee.

The Committee will help shape the research agenda and help design the policy approaches to be analyzed and evaluated. Committee members may review and comment on the research before it is published and participate in conference calls that describe Center progress and research. Committee members also have access to cutting-edge research on terrorism from the RAND Corporation, and have opportunities for visits, private consultations, and presentations from RAND's terrorism experts.
