Staff: Darius Lakdawalla
DARIUS LAKDAWALLA is an associate economist at RAND and a Faculty Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research. Darius has published papers in leading economics and medical journals on the economics of both health care and insurance. He has been the recipient of grant awards from the National Institute on Aging, the National Institute on Occupational Safety and Health, and the National Bureau of Economic Research. He speaks regularly at national conferences on Insurance, Health Economics, and Public Policy. His most recent research has analyzed the economics of terrorism and terrorism insurance, as well as the economic incentives that underlie cycles of violence, conflict, and terrorism. Darius received his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago.
