The Malaysian Farm File
Codebook and Illustrative Use of the Data
This Note provides documentation for the Malaysian Farm File, a dataset derived from the Malaysian Family Life Survey. The Farm File documents key aspects of farming such as crop type, output, farmland, land tenure, labor inputs, irrigation, fertilizer use, and sales of produce. In addition, the Note illustrates how these data can be used to study the farming activities of a subsample of rice cultivators.
