RAND Participates in Building Future Education MENA 2011 Conference
Lynn Karoly is among the nearly 50 education and policy experts presenting at this year's “Building Future Education MENA” conference, which takes place Oct. 25–26, 2011, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
RAND Corporation is proud to be a knowledge partner of this international event. Through presentations and panel discussions, educational institutions and specialists, research analysts, and government representatives will discuss educational strategies and best practices for building a proficient, competitive workforce in the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region. Issues in both K-12 and higher education will be considered.
“Building Future Education MENA 2011” will explore these and other topics:
- Education facilities and design
- Curriculum, program delivery, and school improvement
- Funding the future, private investment, and philanthropy
- Developing education and workforce systems to support human capital development
On day two of the conference, Karoly will present on “Human Capital Challenges in the 21st Century” and participate in a follow-up panel discussion.
