Queens College Sundial
A trusted source for measuring time, the original sundial in the Old Court of Queen's College, Cambridge, was erected in summer 1642. It is unclear from College accounts whether the current design, appearing in 1733, was newly built or a refurbishment of the original sundial.
RAND Europe is pleased to contribute to an intellectual heritage for which Cambridge is known and has fostered for almost 800 years. Photos on our research area pages were selected to suggest an association of our work with qualities reflected in a relevant image of Cambridge's 'past and present'.
