Richard A. Bendis

Richard A. Bendis has been a successful entrepreneur, corporate executive, venture capitalist, investment banker and consultant in the technology and healthcare industries. In addition to corporate careers with Quaker Oats, Polaroid, Texas Instruments, and Marion Laboratories, Bendis broadened and developed his entrepreneurial experiences as President, Kimberly Services; and Chairman/President, Continental Health Care Systems that he took public. In addition, Bendis has managed his own seed capital firm that has invested in technology and healthcare firms. Currently, he serves as President and CEO of the Kansas Technology Enterprise Corporation, a quasi-public technology economic development investment holding company in Kansas and is founder & CEO of Global Technology Enterprise Company.

Bendis serves as a member of several International and national initiatives, including the Science Parks & Innovation Center Expert Group (SPICE); the White House U.S. Innovation Partnership Advisory Task Force, the National Governor's Association Science and Technology Council Executive Committee, the National Institute of Standards and Technology Manufacturing Extension Partnership National Advisory Board, the State Science and Technology Institute Executive Committee, the Council on Competitiveness, the U.S. Small Business Administration's Angel Capital Electronic Network Board of Directors, and the National Association of State Venture Funds Board of Directors.
