Getting There

RAND's headquarters campus is located in Santa Monica off the I-10 West, not far from the Los Angeles International Airport. The building fronts Main Street in Santa Monica.

Public Transportation

Driving Directions

  • Driving from the Los Angeles International Airport—Take the Sepulveda Boulevard North ramp. Merge onto Sepulveda Boulevard, traveling northward. Turn slight left onto Lincoln Boulevard and travel for approximately seven miles. Turn left on Pico Boulevard. Turn right at Main Street. RAND will be on your left with the entrance to visitor parking just past the building.
  • Driving from the east—Take the I-10 West to the 4th/5th Street exit. Turn left on 4th Street. Turn right on Olympic. Turn left on Main Street. Visitor parking will be on your right, just past Starbucks.
  • Driving from the north—Take the I-405 South. Take the I-10 ramp towards Los Angeles/Santa Monica. Merge onto the I-10 West ramp. Take the 1-10 West to the 4th/5th Street exit. Turn left on 4th Street. Turn right on Olympic. Turn left on Main Street. Visitor parking will be on your right, just past Starbucks.
  • Driving from the south—Take the 1-405 North. Take the I-10 ramp towards Santa Monica/Los Angeles. Merge onto the I-10 West ramp. Take the I-10 West to the 4th/5th Street exit. Turn left on 4th Street. Turn right on Olympic. Turn left on Main Street. Visitor parking will be on your right, just past Starbucks.

Parking

Visitors must enter the underground parking at the North entrance, which is accessible from Main Street. Early arrivals (5:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.) must use the intercom (located near the garage entrance) to gain permission to enter.

Metered street parking is also available.

Entering the Building

Visitors who park in the underground parking must enter the courtyard through the elevators in the garage. When exiting the elevator, the lobby will be on your right. Visitors who enter from the street entrance next to the wood-slatted wall must use the intercom near the door to gain permission to enter the courtyard. Once inside, proceed to the main reception desk in the lobby on your left.

Our loading dock is located at the back of the building, off Vicente Terrace.

Operating hours are from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
