Overview

Omar Al-Ani is a machine learning engineer with a strong interest in leveraging emerging technologies to solve public policy issues. He is currently pursuing an M.Phil. in policy analysis at Pardee RAND Graduate School and is an assistant policy researcher at RAND. Al-Ani is also a Fulbright alumnus and holds an M.S. from Kansas State University in electrical and computer engineering with a focus on applied machine learning and reinforcement learning.

Al-Ani has applied his technical skills to practical projects, including improving indoor thermal comfort and providing recommendations on road safety.
