Jeff Broughton is a Senior Defense Analyst at the RAND Corporation, focusing on defense planning and strategy development and security cooperation. His current research focuses primarily on logistics, acquisition and contracting, and security cooperation. Broughton is a retired Army Colonel with extensive experience at the strategic level in the areas of logistics, and weapons of mass destruction (WMD). Key positions included serving as the operations officer in an OIF logistics command, commanding a logistics battalion, and Military Police Command deputy chief of staff for logistics. In addition to his work at RAND, Broughton also teaches at the US Army War College, focusing on 21st Century military issues, DoD Organization and Processes, and Strategic Campaigning.
