Overview

Samantha Cherney is a quantitative analyst at the RAND Corporation. Her research portfolio includes work on civil and criminal justice, insurance, and army contracting, and on the Gun Policy in America initiative. She graduated with an MPA from the Cornell Institute for Public Affairs in 2014, where she concentrated in Economics and Financial Policy. During her MPA, Cherney co-created a cross-disciplinary initiative to develop post-disaster insurance solutions. Cherney also received a J.D. from Cornell Law School in 2011, and she is a licensed attorney in New York and New Jersey. After law school, Cherney clerked for an appellate judge in New Jersey. Cherney’s B.A. is in History from McGill University.
