Mandlenkosi (Mandla) Dube is a Ph.D. student in the Research, Analysis, and Design stream at Pardee RAND Graduate School and an assistant policy analyst at RAND. He has a B.A. in ethics, politics, and economics from Yale University. Prior to joining Pardee RAND, he taught history and English and headed the humanities department at Abaarso School of Science and Technology, an American high school in Somaliland. His research interests include African development, U.S.-China relations in Africa, development finance, and the economic role of diasporas in their countries of origin.
