Owen Hall is a statistical analyst at the RAND Corporation. He has broad interests in public health, spatial science, environmental economics, healthcare economics, and biomedical data analysis. He has used statistical modeling for a variety of applications, including human microbiome research, survey response analysis, quality rating development, and meta-analysis. He employs a broad toolset of statistical methodologies such as linear and non-linear models, multilevel models, survival analysis, and Bayesian methods. He does most of his work using the statistical software package R, but he also uses STATA, SAS, and JAGS. Hall received his Master’s degree in biostatistics from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Bachelor’s degree from the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona with a major in economics and a minor in mathematics.
