John Hamm is a doctoral candidate at the Pardee RAND Graduate School and an assistant policy researcher at RAND. His research at RAND has focused on U.S. Air Force medical operations in denied environments as well as workforce challenges facing various career fields within the Air Force.
Hamm graduated with distinction with a B.S. in operations research from the United States Air Force Academy and serves in the Air Force as an operations research analyst. For his senior capstone research project, he helped create an inventory control mechanism to aid one of the world’s largest human tissue and organ storage facilities. He was the cadet-in-charge of all programs led by the Air Force Academy’s Center for Character and Leadership Development.
