Devika Kapoor is an an analyst at RAND Europe within the Science and Emerging Technology team. Her research interests include exploring the interface between emerging technologies, health and public services, research on research and innovation policy. She is also interested in risk analysis and futures. During her time at RAND, Kapoor has undertaken several evaluations within the technology innovation space, exploring the mechanisms driving technological development and knowledge creation across sectors. These include the evaluation of the Nuclear Innovation Programme, evaluation of the PATH-SAFE programme, the review of the Research Excellence Framework, and evaluation of the Royal Academy of Engineering’s Frontiers programme. Prior to joining RAND, she has worked on projects focusing on renewable energy transitions and building community capacity for environmental sustainability in India, and worked on a project for the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention on integrating social science research into epidemic responses. She has a M.P.A. in development, technology and innovation policy from University College London and a B.Sc.(Hons) in mathematics from Delhi University.
