Christian Kim is a research assistant at RAND. His primary research interests include force design, aviation systems and logistics, strategic planning, and examining the opportunities and risks of leveraging emerging technologies for defense operations. His work covers topics such as Agile Combat Employment (ACE), artificial intelligence (AI), automated and autonomous technologies, command and control, military aircraft (including airlifts, tankers, and fighter aircraft), military intelligence toolsets, resource distribution and management, space technology innovation, transportation operations, and unmanned vehicles.

He graduated with a B.S. in Mathematics–Computer Science from the University of California, San Diego. He is an alumnus of the nationally competitive UCSD Speech and Debate Team, has nearly a decade of formal and informal instructional experience, and was selected by the U.S. State Department and the Korean-American Education Commission as a U.S. Fulbright Finalist.
