Overview

Heejin Kim is an assistant policy researcher at RAND and a Ph.D candidate at the Pardee RAND Graduate School. Prior to joining Pardee RAND, she was head of the Global Markets Operations team at HSBC in Korea.

Kim has an M.B.A. from MIT's Sloan School of Management, an M.A. in public policy from the University of Chicago, and a B.A. in economics from Yonsei University. Her research interests include Northeast Asian international relations, German reunification, economic and political reform in socialist countries, and the humanitarian and refugee issues in North Korea, as well as Korean post-reunification planning and policy.
