Overview

Julia Muravska is a research leader at RAND Europe, where she oversees research portfolios on defence industry, acquisition and technology as well as on defence policy, strategy and capabilities. Her areas of expertise include defence capability development, defence industrial issues, and defence strategy and policy analysis, with a regional emphasis on Europe. Most recently, she has led research projects on the defence industrial skills base, European anti-tank weapon capabilities, and multinational collaboration on defence capability programmes in the land and air domains.

Prior to joining RAND Europe, she worked for Avascent, a management and strategy consultancy specialising in defence and security, as well as for the Defence Programme of Transparency International UK. She holds a Ph.D. and an M.Sc. from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), both in international relations.
