Nicole Schmidt Hackbarth is a Ph.D. student at the Pardee RAND Graduate School and assistant policy analyst at RAND. Prior to RAND, she completed an M.A. in psychology (with a quantitative specialization) at the University of Minnesota, where she also taught coursework in statistics, data analysis, and research design. At RAND, Schmidt Hackbarth has developed surveys, created simulation models, and analyzed quantitative and qualitative datasets for a wide range of policy applications, including education, primary and behavioral health care, and social services for military and civilian populations. Her dissertation research is focused on the integration of physical and behavioral health care for people with serious mental illness.
